Where it began
In 2019, after nearly two decades' living and working in a beautiful part of northern Mozambique, we stood on the precipice and stared into the abyss, as we witnessed first-hand the devastation caused by the raw, inconceivable power of Cyclone Kenneth. In that moment, it became clear that the communities who contributed least to the climate emergency now suffered the most.
Driven by that experience, we came together, united in the conviction that startups will save us. We committed to building the tools startups need to smash down barriers and accelerate the solutions we so urgently need. That's when Raaise was born.
